DAY 1 | JULY 6 | DAY 3 | DAY 4 | DAY 5 | DAY 6 | DAY 7 LAST DOLLAR HUT TO SPRING CREEK HUT 26 MILES | 1,600 FT ASCENT | 3,380 FT DESCENT Jeff, Me, and Jon getting ready to head out for the second day of our adventure on Sunday. It was a little chilly early in the morning with a slight breeze, but once we headed over the other side of the ridge it warmed right up. We spent the morning riding through green fields full of colorful flowers. That might not sound out of the ordinary to most people, but when you've been living in the desert for a while, its nice to see colors other than brown... Relaxing after finishing lunch. Our directions told us to fill our water bottles from a black plastic pipe coming out of the hillside, so we did... We got a little light rain as we rode up to the Spring Creek Hut. That would turn out to be the only rain of the trip. After resting for a bit, Jon and I decided to go do some extra riding on what sounded like a fun single track trail. Big mistake...
